Enterprise 2.0 and Web 2.0 technologies and techniques have pushed Web Design to a new level.  A website can be more now than just an online business card.  We take great care in working with our clients in determining their needs and then selecting the appropriate Web 2.0 technologies to meet those needs.  We consult with our clients up front and then make recommendations for them based on what's available to support their needs and is within their budget and objectives.  The solution may include:


1) Content Management System (CMS):  We know our clients will need to have a method of updating their content that is simple to learn, easy to use and always available at no charge.

2) Search Engine Optimization (SEO): We know that our clients will need several tools to manage search engine meta tags, site map search engine submissions, web stat summary reporting, and search engine effectiveness.  Without these, it's nearly impossible to manage their search engine ranking.  We also offer extensive search engine optimization consulting for those websites that are in a highly competitive market place. 

3) Backup: We know that our clients should have a backup of their website offline at all times.  With the click of a button in our system, they can accomplish this.

6) Website Education and Training: We know that our clients can be intimidated with the idea of managing their own website.  We provide a minimum of 4 hours of training in our system free of charge.  Generally, the training takes less than 2 hours to complete.  After training, we provide free telephone support.
 
7) Dynamic Button and Page generation: We know that as our clients use their website, they may wish to add more functions or change existing ones.  Our CMS allows them to do this easily and quickly on their own.

8) Content Layering:  Our Content Management System allows our clients to create beautiful content design.  We enable "layering" of content from within our system.  This includes such things as text over images, image blending, desktop publishing, side features, image correction and enhancement and image resizing. 

9) Dynamic CSS and Style Sheets:  Features of a website such as default font, font size, borders, padding, back ground colors, input field specification, scrolling bar specification, etc. can all be dynamically changed from within our system. 

10) Member Secured Pages:  We know that sometimes our clients need to make certain pages of their website available to members but not the general public.  We provide a subsystem from within our main system to manage this member secured area and the associated login ID's and passwords.

11) Advanced Website Technologies:  In addition to our standard package Web 2.0 technologies/practices, we offer other options that extend a website's functionality, flair and usefulness.  These options are determined at the outset of the project during the Design/Scoping Consultation meeting and include:  Flash Animations, Videos, 360 walk through photography, RSS Feeds, Social Network Interfaces, Back Office and Front Office Interfaces, Photo Flip Books, Carousels and Cubes, Multiple Graphic Templates, Augmented Reality, Blogs, Podcasting, Database Design, Forms & Membership Database Management, Internet Radio,  Custom Programming using .net and J2EE web services and Cloud Computing.



OUR STANDARD PROCESS - from start to finish

In order to determine what is best for our clients, we start all projects with a 1-2 hour website design/scoping consultation meeting.  We ask our clients to bring to that meeting any branding or marketing material currently being used, any URLs of websites they wish to mimic, all keywords that they would like to include in the search engine meta tag assembly, and any images that they'd like to use in the design.  We also ask them to consider what functions/pages/buttons they think they may wish to have on their website - including any drop downs.  During this consultation, we discuss the possibilities, budget and estimated costs. In the majority of cases, the website costs fall into the range of $3.5 to $5.5K depending on the extent of the requirements.

If the client choses to proceed, a deposit of 50% will be collected, a contract will be signed, a full project invoice will be submitted via e-mail and the following steps will take place over the course of the project (which is generally 2-3 weeks long):

1) Graphic Design - The graphics to be used throughout the website will be designed using Adobe Photoshop. Proofs will be reviewed and revised via e-mail and telephone conversations.  Once the designs are final, they will be signed off and sent into website production.  
  
2) Navigational Design - The navigation of the website as it flows form page to page via buttons, drop downs and links will be designed via e-mail and telephone conversation.  Once this flow is final, it will be signed off and sent into website production.

3) Test Site Review - Once the website has been built and connected up to the Content Management System, the site will be tested on behalf of the client with test data or data copied form an existing website.  Once all pages have been tested, the client will be notified that it is ready for their review.  This review will take place over the phone and an internet connection.  Changes, edits and adjustments will then be made.  Once all changes have been made, the client will sign off the website development.

4) Training -   Once the development is signed off, the client will be scheduled for training.  Training generally takes between 2-4 hours and is done wither over the telephone and internet connection OR onsite at either parties office. Once training has been completed, the client will add the remainder of their content.   At the end of the training session, the remaining 50% payment is collected.

5) Ongoing Maintenance - Generally speaking ongoing maintenance is performed by the client using their Content Management System. Occasionally, the client may have a need for advanced programming or editing that is available from our staff at a rate of $75 per hour.
